The Marbeck series, set in the early 1600s and featuring a spy or 'intelligencer', is going well. The first book, Marbeck and the Double-Dealer (published in 2012 by Severn House) has earned star reviews, Booklist describing it as 'a 17th century James Bond' and 'a gripping, entertaining page-turner'. It's now published in the USA, in ebook on both sides of the Atlantic and in Amazon Audible. Book 2, Marbeck and the King-in-Waiting, is also thriving while book 3, Marbeck and the Privateers, appeared in February and seems to be doing well.

Having recently stepped down from my post as a Writing Fellow at the University of Bristol, I'm now busy with the next Marbeck mystery, scheduled for 2015. More later...
